Recently, Guiding Paws of Delaware had the wonderful opportunity to attend a dress rehearsal of a play at Appoquinimink High School. The students performed their rendition of Once Upon a Mattress.

This experience proved to be incredibly beneficial for our guide dog puppies. Exposure to new environments, sounds, and people is crucial for their development. The lively atmosphere of a theater, filled with bright lights and engaging performances, helps them become accustomed to unexpected stimuli. The puppies practiced settling in an unfamiliar dark theater. Such experiences foster their confidence and adaptability, ensuring they grow into well-rounded companions for those in need.

We would like to extend our heartfelt thanks to the students and teachers at Appoquinimink High School. This is our fourth event with Appo High Theatre who always give us a great show.
